Spiritual Caregiving to Help Addicted Persons and Families
This is a workshop experience in exploring spiritual caregiving to families and individuals that have substance abuse and addiction as a life-disruptive problem. The workshop goal is to introduce chemical abuse and addiction, problem issues related, and guide participants in considering the most effective pastoral care and spiritual support in response.

Individual pre-registration is $10 to cover copying of resource handouts and refreshments. Send to VIPCare with your name and phone number; receipt of registration will be confirmed. Walk-in registration is $15.

Workshop Presenter
Christopher C. Bowers, M.Div., CSAC, ASE is an experienced pastor, chaplain, and substance abuse counselor. He is an AAPC certified pastoral counselor and certified addictions counselor in Virginia. Rev. Bowers has assisted adults and adolescents about abstinence and recovery for over 20 years, teaches a Substance Abuse Ministry course at VIPCare, and works with family and friends in their concern for loved ones.
